He laid down the framework of game theory in a very general way. (von Neumann 1928). On the other hand, he also proposed quite specific game-theoretic frameworks through bold, simplifying assumptions. (von Neumann-Morgenstern 1944 and von Neumann 1953) In this paper an economic model is presented which connects, through Marshall's short-and-long-run view, this latter line of approach with von Neumann (1937, English translation 1946) so that one can form a rather complete economic view based on the whole set of von Neumann's work in social sciences. (A companion paper, which shall be presented at Tsukuba, further connect this view to von Neumann (1958)-computer and brain-to which von Neumann devoted his last years.) This is a pure production model which contrasts sharply with the consumption-based Walrasian general equilibrium theory. Applications to real world economic issues of this model are briefly discussed.
