Social Programs


Welcome Reception

The welcome reception is scheduled at the conference place at 6:30 p.m. on Day 1 (May 20).  All the participants are invited.

Excursion

An Excursion is scheduled on Day 3 (May 22).

We will visit Matsushima, a bay area near Sendai.  Matsushima is renowned for natural beauty.  We will go there by bus and plan to visit two temples and take a short cruise on the bay.

The bus leaves Sendai International Center at 12:50 p.m. and return to the center around 6:00 p.m.  We provide a boxed lunch to the excursion participants.  The excursion participants can either have lunch at Sendai International Center or bring it to the excursion.

If the conference participants want to take part in the excursion, visit the registration desk.  A limited number of tickets are available.

Banquet

A banquet is scheduled on Day 3 (May 22).

The banquet will be held at Sendai International Center.  We plan to start it at 6:30 p.m., but the time may vary, depending on the time of arrival of the excursion bus.  The banquet is in a buffet-style.  Vegetarian foods are available, but halal foods are not available.

If the conference participants want to take part in the banquet, visit the registration desk.  A limited number of tickets are available.

Photo Session

A conference photo is scheduled on Day 4 (May 23).  All the participants are invited.  It is scheduled at 12:10 p.m.

The conference participants can obtain the picture from the conference website after the conference.

The National Institute of Informatics (NII), one of the main sponsor of the conference, may post the picture to their website to demonstrate the success of the conference.  Please allow the organizers to assume that the participants in the picture permit NII to do it.
